Echium - the new "wonder" anti-ageing ingredient

Who says natural beauty products can't have anti-ageing properties?!

Echium is being touted as the new wonder ingredient for anti-ageing products.

We're quite chuffed, as Pai was one of the first skin care companies to use Echium - in our Echium Organic Eye Cream.

Echium is a fantastic ingredient that I love to work with. I have been using the eye cream for two years now and it does appear to have great rejuvenating properties.

Echium is a member of the borage plant family (where borage oil comes from) that grows readily in Western and Southern Europe.

We use its nourishing seed extract which contains a unique ratio of Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids which keep skin beautifully supple and reduce fine lines.

Other companies have started to introduce Echium into their products. But, they undo all their good work by including chemical preservatives that can irritate and even prematurely age the sensitive skin around the eye.
